Quick Tip

If you are repairing or modding an Xbox 1.6 motherboard be sure to plug the PSU connector to the motherboard before plugging the power cable in, this will keep you from blowing a transistor which maintains the output from the standy regulator.

Service Center

The service center section of the site is to get you familiar with our services and processes for having us repair or modify your systems. We offer three types of services which are explained below.

Repairs: The repair service is to troubleshoot and fix any kind of problem you may be encountering with your game console. This could be due to wear & tear, failed modchip installation, damage etc etc. Currently we service the Xbox, Playstation 2 (including version 12) and Gamecube game consoles.

Modifications: Our modification service is to install mods to your systems. The pricing structure for this service is a flat labor fee of $49.95 and covers installation of cosmetic, performance and upgrades. The flat rate labor fee covers up to five mods but does not include the cost of the materials. We do install legal modchips for the xbox with the cromwell bios but we do not install chips for the PS2 and Gamecube. Below is a partial list of available mods, if you are unsure if your mod is available please email us using the contact us page.

  • Modchip Installation (Xbox only)

  • Hard Drive Installation

  • Controller Port LED modification

  • Jewel Halo LED Modification (With or without On/Off switch)

  • Power/Eject LED modification

  • Translucent S-Controller LED Modification (Requires S-Controller)

  • Undercarriage light

  • DVD port window

  • Network Activity Light

  • Hard Drive Activity Light

  • Linux Software Installation

We do not perform software installations (ie. Dashboards, hacked bioses, anything illegally compiled with the XDK) under any circumstances.

Data Recovery: This service recovers your locked hard drive from a dead motherboard. This is primarily for those who have upgraded their hard drives to a large capacity and would like to recover the drive. With this service we only require the motherboard and the hard drive, shipping an entire unit is not required.

How to use one of our services

In order for us to service your unit you will need to follow these steps

  1. Create Account: Click the Log In link at the top right of this page, from there click on the create account button. Fill out the form with your shipping information.
  2. Purchase Service: All service must be purchased and the flat rate labor fee pre-paid. Add the service(s) to your cart and checkout using your prefered payment method.
  3. Service Order Creation: After you have purchased the service(s) you will receive an email where you can log in and create your service order request. When filling out the service form request you will be asked a few questions which are explained below;
    • System: What type of system you are having serviced
    • Service: What type of service you need performed
    • Alternative email address: In case we need to get a hold of you a second email address we can contact you
    • Subject: A summery of the work to be done
    • Description: Explanation of what's going on with the unit (if it needs repaired), what you would like done to the unit for mods or any kind of information you feel is helpful. The more information you give us the better. When done click the continue button for the request to be submitted.
  4. Service Order Request Form: You will receive an email with your service order number and a direct link to check the status. You will also be given a link to download and fill out the Service Order Request Form. The SOR form lets us know this system is sent in for service and not as a system sale. This form must be filled out and sent along with your unit in order for us to service it, if the form is not included with the unit it will not be worked on until the form is sent in.
  5. Ship the system: Package your system by itself (no wires or controllers unless they are part of the problem) and include the Service Order Form. You can ship by any mail currier you prefer however we recommend you pick up delivery confirmation or tracking. We are not responsible for systems lost in transit to us. Our Mailing address is located at the top of the Service Request Form.

That's it for your end, once we receive your unit your status will be updated by the technician. He will then diagnose the problem and or perform any work that is required. If your system was sent in for repairs and it is found that your unit will need a replacement part then your unit will be placed on hold while we contact you. You can either purchase the part from us or send in your own replacement part. Replacement parts constitute large items such as lasers, hard drives, power supplies, TSOP chips. Small parts such as resistors, capacitors, eeproms etc will be covered under the flat rate labor fee.

Throughout the process you will be updated on the progress whenever the technician touches your unit and you can log in at any time to read the latest status and notes on what's going on.

Once your unit is completed we will ship it back at our cost via 2day priority mail with signature confirmation, please have someone available to sign for the package when it arrives.

Turn around time depends on the work being performed and the work log. We use a First In/First out system where any units ahead of yours are worked on first. Please allow 24/48 hours of receipt of your unit for it to be worked on. Common repairs usually take about 24 hours to complete but this should not be considered how quickly it will be repaired.

If you have any questions please read the Service FAQ found in the FAQ section or you can email as using the Contact Us Page.
